Residential Supervisor

Department: Artemis House 2
Location: Fairfax County, VA

Title:  Residential Supervisor (Hours:varies)

Department:  Artemis House, Region I  

Reports to:  Director of Artemis House, Region I

FLSA Status:  Exempt


Salary Range: $40,000-44,000/ yr. 


Summary of Position:

The Residential  Supervisor serves as the direct supervisor for the community coordinator, driver, and all full-time, part-time, and on-call residential staff at Artemis House. The Residential Supervisor has both direct service and administrative responsibilities. This person will hire, train, and develop all residential staff to ensure that program policies are followed and services are delivered via a trauma informed care approach. The Residential Supervisor will work in collaboration with the Artemis House Director to coordinate and track in-kind donations and volunteer support. This person will work in collaboration with the Artemis House Director and Case Management to support and manage the daily operations of the program in accordance with the Fairfax County Office for Women & Domestic and Sexual Violence Services contract and all applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • A bachelor's degree in human services/ related field or commensurate experience

  • 1+ years of program and staff management

  • Strong public speaking and communication skills

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities and make sound judgements

  • Valid Driverís License

  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends when needed


Preferred:

  • Experience leading/ supporting programs serving homeless families and victims of domestic violence/ sexual violence

  • Experience leading/managing in a residential environment

  • Ability to speak a second language at a proficient level


Physical Requirements:

  • Annual TB Test is required

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods

  • Ability to lift items weighing 10-20 pounds
